  • Alexis Tsipras led left-wing Syriza Party won General Elections of Greece on 21st September 2015. Earlier in August 2015, the party lost its majority in the Parliament. The election held under caretaker govt. led by 1st female Prime Minister of Greece Vassiliki Thanou.

‘ICGS Apoorva’ and ‘Interceptor Boat C-421’ commissioned


  • ‘ICGS Apoorva’ and ‘Interceptor Boat C-421’, two Indian Coast Guard ships commissioned on 21st September 2015. It is 14th vessel and 27th interceptor boat.

Flag Meeting ceremony between India and Pakistan held


  • Flag Meeting ceremony between India and Pakistan held on 21st September 2015 to defuse the situation on LoC at Chakan-da-Bagh in Poonch sector. It is important to noting that it is 1st meeting between the countries at Brigadier level from last 20 days. Brigadier H.S. Sareen from India and Brigadier Osman from Pakistan attended the ceremony.

Department of Electronics and Information Technology issued new guidelines
