  • Competition Commission of India (CCI) imposed penalty on Kerala Film Exhibitors Federation on 08th September 2015.


New Production Facility launched by India in Kanpur

  • New Production Facility for producing prosthetic systems launched by the Government of India in Kanpur on 08th September 2015 under ‘Make In India’ scheme.

Union Cabinet gave its approval for the Constitution of 21st Law Commission of India


  • The Union Cabinet gave its approval for the Constitution of 21st Law Commission of India on 09th September 2015 as 20th Law Commission ended on 31st August 2015. 20th Law Commission was headed by Justice Ajit Prakash Shah.

Supreme Court of Pakistan ordered adoption of Urdu as official language

  • On 08th September 2015, Supreme Court of Pakistan ordered adoption of Urdu as official language.

‘Amma Baby Care Kit’ scheme launched

  • ‘Amma Baby Care Kit’ scheme launched by the State Government of Tamil Nadu on 07th September 2015. The scheme also contained a Sowbhagya Leghyam for the mother. Earlier, in the year 1992, during his 1st tenure as CM, the government launched ‘Cradle Baby’ scheme.

WFE released the report

  • According to the report of World Federation of Exchanges (WEF) as released on 07th September 2015, Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) has highest number of listed companies in all over the World. Till now, total 5689 companies listed with BSE in which one company is a foreign company while 1750 companies listed with National Stock Exchange of India (NSE). It is important to noting that BSE established in the year 1855 and is the oldest exchange in Asia.

Gold Monetization Scheme launched

  • Gold Monetization Scheme launched by the Government of India on 09th September 2015 with the aim to mobilize unutilized gold from the household and also from the institutions. Gold Deposit Scheme and Gold Metal Loan will run under this scheme. This process has 5 stages. To implement the scheme, banks will enter into a tripartite agreement with refiners and PTCs.

Sovereign Gold Bonds Scheme approved

  • Sovereign Gold Bonds Scheme approved by the Government of India on 09th September 2015 with the aim to reduce dependence on physical gold. It is important to noting that Indian Gold Coin will carry Ashok Chakra on its face.

‘Neither A Hawk Nor A Dove’ published

  • The book titled as ‘Neither A Hawk Nor A Dove’ published on 07th September 2015. The author of the book is former External Affairs Minister of Pakistan Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri. The book depicts the matter of life of Sonia Gandhi and other misc. facts related with India and Pakistan. It is important to noting that the real name of Sonia Gandhi is Antonia Edvige Albina Maino.

7th session of India-Belarus Intergovernmental Commission held

  • 7th session of India-Belarus Intergovernmental Commission held on 07th September 2015 at Minsk, Belarus with the aim to deepen the bilateral relations between the countries.

Godavari and Krishna linked by AP

  • On 09th September 2015, Andhra Pradesh linked two rivers Godavari and Krishna as water of Godavari river was diverted from Tadepudi reservoir to Krishna river. Almost 600 cusecs of water from Godavari diverted to Krishna.

Dates of Assembly elections in Bihar announced

  • The dates of Assembly elections in Bihar announced on 09th September 2015. The elections will be held in Five stages i.e. on October 12, 16, 20 and November 1 and 5 however the result will be declared on 08th November 2015. Bihar Assembly has 243 member seats. The Governor of Bihar is Ram Nath Kovind.

Queen Elizabeth II became longest reigning monarch in Britain

  • Queen Elizabeth II became longest reigning monarch in Britain. Before her, Queen Victoria remained at the throne for about 63 years 7 months (1819-1901). She was great-great-grandmother of Queen Elizabeth II.

India set the target to 100% literacy in villages

  • Under the scheme ‘Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana’ on 08th September 2015 India set the target to achieve 100% literacy in villages by the end of March 2016 as announced by Union Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani. Tamil Nadu awarded with ‘Best Performing State’ under the scheme.

  • J. Manjula, became 1st woman Director General of Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) as appointed on 09th September 2015.
