Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) invites online applications from eligible Individuals for filling up 50 vacancies of Technical Assistant and Senior Technician by Direct Recruitment at BIS Headquarters, New Delhi and BIS Offices located in the country. The last date for registration of online applications is 15th March 2020.

Educational Qualifications:
| Technical Assistant (Laboratory) | Bachelor’s Degree in Science (with Chemistry or Microbiology or Physics or Bio-Technology or Food Technology or Bio-Chemistry or Electronics as one of the main subject) with minimum 60% marks (50% for SC and ST) (OR) 03 years Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical or Civil or Chemical or Electronics or Food Technology or Metallurgy with minimum 60% marks (50% marks for SC and ST). |
| Senior Technician | (1) Matriculation or its equivalent; (2) Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Certificate in any of the following trades: (a) Electrician; (b) Air-Conditioning; (c) Refrigeration; (d) Mechanic (Diesel–Engine); (e) Fitter; (f) Carpenter; (g) Welder. (3) 02 years’ practical experience in the respective trade after having obtained the Industrial Training Institute certificate or National Apprenticeship Certificate in the relevant trade. |
Application Fee: ₹ 500/- only. The fee would be payable from 17 February 2020 to 08 March 2020 and shall be non-refundable under any circumstances. The payment of the application fee is to be made through online only. No fee for Reserved category (SC / ST / PWD), Ex-Servicemen, All category women and BIS serving departmental candidates.
Selection Process: Online Examination and Skill / Practical / Trade Test.
