Online applications are invited from Indian Nationals for direct recruitment to the post of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (GradeII/Executive) i.e. ACIO-II (Exe) in IB (Ministry of Home Affairs), Government of India.

Fees Structure

For General (Male) & OBC candidates, the registration fee is Rs 100/- only. 
There is No fee for SC/ST/Female candidates.

Education Qualification

Essential Qualification: Graduate or equivalent degree from any government recognized university
and Knowledge of Computer

Age Limit & Age Relaxation


  • 18 years - 27 years
  • Age Relaxation: Age relaxation for IB ACIO candidates is 5 years for SC/ST & 3 years for OBC.

Selection Process

 Selection Process 2017-18 is divided mainly into three parts
  • Tier 1 Exam
  • Tier 2 Exam
  • Interview
MHA ACIO Tier 1 exam is basically an online objective type of exam.
The candidates who will clear the Tier 1 exam, will then appear for Tier 2 exam.
Tier 2 is descriptive in nature and to pass the Tier 2 exam, candidates are required to score at least 33% marks (as per the rule).
Based on Tier 1 and Tier 2 exam performances, candidates will be called for an Interview for the final round of selection.

Exam Pattern

There will be 100 questions, each containing 1 marks in Tier 1 Exam.
For each wrong answer, there will be a negative marking of ¼ marks.
Tier 2 is descriptive in nature, which is of 50 marks.
