Important Facts in History:

Indian National Congress (INC) was founded in 1885 by A.O. Hume (a Britisher). First session of INC on 28 th December 1885 at Bombay. W. C. Banarjee was elected as president of INC.
Partition of Bengal: - It was issued by Lord Curzon, the Viceroy at that time in 1905 to divide the province of Bengal into two parts.
Muslim League: - All India Muslim League was founded under the leadership of Agha Khan in 1906.
Surat split: - Indian National Congress split into two groups, the moderate and the extremists at Surat session in 1907.
Morley Minto Reforms: - It was introduced in 1909 during the period when Lord minto was the Viceroy of India. It was about separate electorates for muslims.
Lucknow Pact: - In 1916, the Lucknow session of INC was memorable because extremists again joined the INC and there was also an alliance between Congress and Muslim League.
