India signed an agreement with Asian Development Bank (ADB)

‘Astrosat’ successfully launched by ISRO
- 1st dedicated satellite for astronomy research ‘Astrosat’ successfully launched on 27th September 2015 along with 6 foreign satellites from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota. It placed at altitude of 650 km and will be located at ISRO Satellite Centre, Bangalore. With this success, India became the nation having its own space observatory after USA, Japan, Russia and Europe.
