Mobile App "SAFAR-Air" launched to monitor air pollution
- On 17th February 2015, India’s first Mobile App namely SAFAR-Air launched by Government of India to check the air quality.
- Right now the service is available in Delhi and Pune. It will be available in Mumbai by April
- Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM) developed this app
35% job reservation to women in Bihar
- On 18th February 2015, the State Government of Bihar decided to provide 35% reservation to women in non-gazetted government jobs.
Bharti Airtel signed an agreement with UNICEF
- Bharti Airtel signed an agreement with United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to provide health and education content in 17 African countries including Kenya Uganda, Congo Ghana etc.
Producer Daggubati Ramanaidu died
- Daggubati Ramanaidu, the famous producer of India, died on 18th February 2015. He was awarded with Dada Saheb Phalke Award and Padma Bhushan Award.
Soil Health Card launched
- On 19th February 2015, Soil Health Card launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Suratgarh, Rajasthan.
- 14 crore Soil Health Cards to be issued in next 3 years
- It will provide crop wise recommendations regarding usage of fertilizers and other inputs to increase soil efficiency
